This is the international recognized symbol for ‘gluten-free.’ At this time, however, there is not a single definition of ‘gluten-free’ that is accepted world-wide.

Long Island Celiac Support Group CSA Chapter #23

Welcome to the Long Island Celiac Support Group

We are here to help people understand celiac disease and adjust to the gluten-free diet. Our support group is around 250 members strong and growing. We want to welcome everyone to participate in the process of "Celiacs Helping Celiacs".

There are an estimated 2.8 million people living on Long Island. With an estimated 1 in every 133 people potentially having celiac disease, that means there are approximately 21,000 plus people with celiac disease on Long Island.

As a CSA Chapter let's work together and increase awareness of Celiac Disease.

The Long Island Chapter Chairperson - Jim Blank

Introduction to Jim From Himself:

“Hello I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Jim Blank. I will be taking over the operations of running our Long Island Celiac Support group. I was diagnosed with celiac disease 14 years ago and became a member of a Long Island celiac group as well as our National CSA support organization. I have spent the last 14 years helping people adjust to celiac disease and the gluten-free diet.” As of January 2007, I was elected to the governing board of CSA.
