CSA Teen Scene seeks to provide teens with opportunities to:
- Gain a clear understanding of celiac disease through small group discussions with dietitians and other professionals.
- Actively share ideas with other teens for successful self-management of the gluten-free diet.
- Relax and have fun together.
- Develop on-going peer support systems.
- Discover new gluten-free snacks and meals in the Conference Exhibit Hall.
Highlights to include:
- Cooking workshop with Rebecca Reilly, author of Gluten Free Baking
- “Dialogue with a Dietitian” - Elaine Danner, RD Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
- “Are You Ready to Order?” ~ Robert LaFrance and Kim Koeller, Gluten-Free Passport, Chicago, Illinois
- Shopping trip to local grocery store to explore survival strategies for label reading and shopping for party snacks
- Movie/Game Night and Evening Pool
